Taking a Trip Down Memory Lane
As I begin this journey down memory lane, immersing myself in the world of my artwork created over the last few years, since the start of lockdown (for the Covid Pandemic), a feeling of gentle nostalgia overwhelms me.
These pieces, inspired by minimalistic style art, have always had an indescribable effect on my soul.
Amongst them are countless depictions of serene sunrises and captivating sunsets; moments frozen in time where nature’s canvas unfolds in breath-taking beauty. The delicately crafted strokes portray a simplicity that begs for contemplation, as if urging us to slow down and appreciate the fleeting tranquillity these celestial events bring.
And while each piece holds its own unique allure, it is impossible not to notice how sunsets tend to embrace bolder shades with their reddish hues compared to the softer tones often found in morning skies.
In employing a complimentary colour palette throughout all these artworks, I find solace and joy as colours dance harmoniously together like old friends sharing secrets from distant lands.
Each stroke reveals my admiration for these natural wonders; an ode to their power and resilience but also an ode to those precious moments when time seems suspended against our busy lives.
